One of the key tasks in #BusinessAnalysis is #StakeholderManagement. One way to do #StakeholderAnalysis is brainstorming who your stakeholders are, what are their interests, priorities and motives. A #BusinessAnalyst needs to understand what authority and influence they exert on a particular activity.


My 3-year-old son has mastered the stakeholder management. He knows that to get the toys locally, his go to stakeholder is grandpa. And he makes sure he keeps me (his father) out of the loop when he is negotiating hard with his grandpa. His go to stakeholder to be able to watch mobile till late night, is his granny. And to successfully execute the late-night-binge-watching-plan, the stakeholder to avoid in the room is his mother.


If #StakeholderManagement is so natural to humans, why do we always miss on it in big projects and run like a headless chicken!

While executing the project of our life, amidst all the chaos, we often forget to understand the needs of one crucial stakeholder – ourselves!


When was the last time, you paused and took time out to understand your #stakeholders before interacting with them to avoid the #bias.
